My profession is an IT Business Analyst. My passion is in real estate investing, my family, and my two dogs (George Bailey and Harry Bailey). I have 64 rental properties – most of which are in Bourbonnais, Manteno, Peotone, Monee and Beecher area.
One of the main reasons RockSolid Roofing was formed was because, as a real estate investor, I have always had problems finding qualified licensed roofers to do my roofs. Yet I knew several highly skilled contractors that could do a great job – but they weren’t licensed. Unfortunately, there was just no way I could afford to risk having an unlicensed roofer do the work (see Licensed Roofer page) and I would always have to go with someone else.
After completing over 65 rehabs, I felt I knew what I wanted as a customer from a contractor. I knew the guys I could bring on could deliver it in just such a way.
And, selfishly, I wanted to be able to do my own roofs going forward with guys I knew who were really good.
By starting RockSolid Roofing, I thought I could do something very few contractors could do – to form a contracting company that would completely customer-centric in its focus. While that may sound obvious for some people, anyone thats worked with contractors on a regular basis would know that would be the exception rather than the rule.
so here are my principles that will guide the way RockSolid Roofing operates. And while I’m sure I’ll have some bumps in the road along the way, its still far better to put these values first and admit the mistake so you can correct it, then to not even aspire to do them in the first place.
